SEMINAR WITH LAMA NGAWANG TSULTRIM

It is with great joy that we can once again welcome Lama Ngawang in the Benchen Odense Center for his annual teaching seminar, which will take place on June 16th to 18th.

Lama Ngawang Tsultrim is from the Benchen Monastery in Nepal, where he grew up and has been educated as a Dharma teacher by Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche. He has also completed the traditional three-year retreat under the guidance of Tenga Rinpoche.

In 2007 Tenga Rinpoche sent Lama Ngawang to Europe in order to act as a Dharma teacher and appointed him as resident lama of Benchen Allmuthen, Belgium.

In addition, Lama Ngawang has taken on the responsibility to teach in other Benchen centers around Europe on a regular basis.

Lama Ngawang will give teachings based on the text ‘A Precious Garland of the Supreme Path’, composed by the great Dharma master Gampopa.

There will be translation into Danish by Birgit Scott.

SEMINAR WITH KHENPO ÖSUNG

On April 9th Khenpo Ösung and Umdze Lhakpa from the Benchen Monastery will visit our center.

Khenpo Øsung will provide explanations for the practice of The Four Mind Changings: 1. The Freedoms and Advantages of Our Present Situation · 2. Life is Impermanent · 3. Cause and Effect · 4. Faults of Saṃsāra.

These four basic meditations will open our minds to the Dharma and eventually lead to a direct experience of our inherent compassionate wisdom potential.

Khenpo-la will explain how to integrate the understanding of and insight into these four factors in our life situations, with emphasis on changeability, impermanence and painful experiences.

How do we deal with difficult situations? How do we deal with illness and death? And how can we help others going through these processes?

During the day, there will also be opportunity to learn melodies, mudras and the use of instruments for various pujas and rituals from Umdze Lhakpa.

The teachings will start at 2 pm and continue throughout the day interspaced with several breaks.
